With schools being closed and many of us working from home, this leads to the garden becoming our playground. And with cricketers’ seasons being put on hold far and wide, this may mean the beloved grass turf is turned into a working wicket for a spot of garden cricket with the family!
With all sport being cancelled or postponed until further notice, how are you going to stay sharp and focused? This family have invested in a 2G Flicx Skills Throwdown to support their sons cricket development and training and posted this great video where the young boy is playing some tremendous shots all around the garden (including a lovely reverse sweep into the wendy house) , so mum needs to call in reinforcements into the attack!! What happens next is brilliant !!

So far the video has attracted over 1 million views on the Cricket District Facebook page as well as thousands of views on Twitter and Instagram too!
The product you can see being put through its paces is our 2G Flicx 4m Skills Throwdown, which was ordered by Kate last Thursday and delivered on Friday. Kate is thrilled with the service and quality of the product provided!
Here are a couple of comments from Kate:
“That’s PE sorted. Absolutely amazing customer service from Flicx Pitch and a fantastic product. #HomeSchool”
“Best money I ever spent! The saviour of both the sanity of my 10 year old and my kitchen“
Flicx supply 3 standard size pitches for the home and garden at 4m, 7.5m and 10m and it’s possible to get these in an all green traditional match design or bright skills design with colour coded coaching zones in built. The pitch can be rolled out on grass… the only requirement is for the grass to be cut short to 15mm or less is best. The under surface must be firm and flat with no high spots or divots so the pitch sits flush to the under surface rather than floating on top which will give you a nice consistent bounce and realistic surface to practice on with no damage to the lawn below.
We recommend to use the pitch as a roll out / roll up solution and to regularly cut the grass underneath to maintain optimal bounce. Some customer choose to prepare a structural base instead or you can roll on top of other base surfaces (see more)
- Easily rolls onto level prepared grass or structural base
- Prevents grass damage in the garden
- Built-in crease lines
- Choice of colours and designs
- Top quality, safe & independently tested
- Over 20 years experience
- Takes both spin & seam or can be used with a bowling machine
- Consistent ball bounce building playing confidence
- Suitable for both hardball or softball cricket
We are also able to produce bespoke sizes to fit your garden – if you require a bespoke quote, please email sales@flicx.com with your sizings and location. Interest is high at the moment, so do get in touch if we can help answer any questions
