We are rushed off our feet at the moment, fulfilling orders for 2G Flicx Pitches in one of our busiest ever starts to the new cricket season. Clubs (and schools) are increasingly seeing the value of the versatility of the 2G Flicx Pitch and all the benefits that it can offer in terms of developing existing facilities or adding new capacity for both matches and training.
Your 2G Flicx Pitch will arrive in two rolls. These can be easily moved by 1 person using the 2G Flicx Safety Trolley and make for a portable resource. The same pitch can be rolled onto a grass field or astro/rubbercrumb pitch to convert it into a cricketing venue whilst you can also unzip the pitch in the middle which will give you two batting ends for junior sessions or in the nets. A 2G Flicx Pitch is around 1/3 of the price of a NTP but offers much more flexibility.
For clubs who struggle with enough resource (time or expertise) to maintain a turf wicket, the 2G Flicx Pitch, which has all weather properties, means the season can be extended by taking pressure off your main square or by using it for training or 2nd/3rd team matches. We have even found clubs using the pitch in wet conditions when play usually isn’t possible PLUS it also works indoors so you can have a flat, firm surface for nets which will last years and years provide great cost effectiveness for your clubs budget.
Our pitches also come in various coaching designs which will help develop the skills of younger players and our new multi-aged pitch (MAP) means that different age group games can be played on the same wicket, just by moving the stumps to the different crease markings. Speaking about some of our recent customers, business development manager Ashley Appleby commented
“When demonstrating the 2G Flicx Pitch, clubs are always impressed with how were the pitch performs on a range of different surfaces and how easy our new product is to use. The specially formulated synthetic compound has more rubber in the moulded tile making it softer and malleable to touch, which is great for British conditions and offers good pace and bounce when used on a firm flat surface.”
In addition clubs are taking advantage of our branding options to get sponsors to invest in the pitch. New digital printing means that a logo can be added into the pitch for only a small investment, but the perceived value for the partner is very high particularly with the PR opportunities available.
