Firstly, we hope everyone and their families reading this are well as we all try to navigate these uncharted waters. As a business owner, I have been glued to the news and Flicx UK are following the necessary UK governments guidelines to slow the spread of the Corona virus. As a result my team, except Rob who does all manufacture and dispatch, are working remotely. We are continuing to manufacture 2G Flicx Pitches and are currently fulfilling orders as normal. As a small business, we have never taken custom for granted; but at this time, we are especially grateful for your orders.
We are working closely with our suppliers and couriers to maintain exceptionally high service levels but the health and well being of the team is my primary concern and so of course we will keep you posted if anything changes over the coming weeks. Are you following us on social media?? @FlicxPitch
BUILT ON A PASSION FOR SPORT
You may or may not be aware that I developed the Flicx Pitch during the time of much political uncertainty and change in South Africa. After the apartheid era, I wanted to create a way for communities to come together through cricket, so the Flicx Pitch was created to harness these opportunities and break down social barriers. Today, as we collectively try and navigate a global pandemic and a period of social distancing, the power of sport and the hope it brings to people’s lives will be vitally important in helping keep us and our families active and healthy. Our company is built on strong relationships with associations, clubs, schools and individuals and we will continue do all we can to support the rebuilding of the game we all love.
So, I am pleased to be announcing a few new initiatives from Flicx to help organisations and the cricketers young and old, at this time (these will be detailed further on the blog, in our emails and social posts in the coming days)
1. PLAY AT HOME
With much recreational cricket now postponed, one way to play cricket and remain active is in the garden. Many of you will remember hours spent with your brothers and sisters doing Throwdowns and honing your technique. Until the rest of the month at least we will pay the VAT and delivery on all UK home orders of Throwdowns and Batting Ends for use in gardens. We will also support export orders to a similar level of overall contribution as well as creating a new Home Academy product bundle – CLICK HERE to find out more or contact sales@flicx.com or jump on our LIVE CHAT.
2. SUPPORT FOR UK CLUBS AND SCHOOLS
We have absolute confidence in our 2G pitch technology when our preparation advice and installation guidance is followed and are highly confident in the products performance and ability to solve facility issues and improve the standard of play on various bases. We are not currently able to offer UK demonstrations so instead from today we are offering a 1-month money back satisfaction guarantee to UK clubs, schools and associations. If you are not satisfied with your new pitch’s performance, we will pick up the pitch for you and offer a full refund so long as the pitch is good working order.* T+Cs apply. We will announce in due course how similar assurances can be offered for international customers and again a further article will follow.
I am sure the cricket family will rally round and anything we can do to help your cricket plans, do get in touch. Stay safe and be kind
