Being a portable, roll out solution, the 2G Flicx Pitch is solving many different issues facing clubs and schools in Australia. With sporting spaces at a premium, Flicx is an innovative solution to increasing your ovals capacity by hosting multiple junior format games on the outfield. The same pitch can be used to take pressure off a main square and also in the nets or indoor centres.
Applications include
- Creating festival type cricket matches on Friday evenings or Saturday mornings by converting the outfield of traditional cricket ovals into multiple cricket fields simply by rolling the 2G Flicx cricket pitch out on the cut outfield
- Reservations and Parks with some pre-game ground preparation can be converted in to cricket match and practise facilities using the portable 2G Flicx cricket pitch
- Converting a large AFL oval into 3 or 4 cricket pitches to host the growing junior game
- A pitch which can cater for multi junior stages in one portable, roll out pitch which is easy for volunteers to use
- Over worn or underperforming concrete strips
- Beach cricket and other development/ activation initiatives
The kids absolutely loved playing on the 2G Flicx pitches with parents and families all wanting to take photos! If it wasn’t for the pitches our tour would not have been the success that it was and the team here at the Sixers will be utilising them further with our community events, clinics and for our Fan Day here at the SCG and throughout the season” Liz McPherson / Fan, Activation and Community Manager at Sydney Sixers
“Flicx Pitches could be the future of junior cricket. We can get a better critical mass of players using one oval. It’s better for parents, better for players, gives a greater atmosphere and a better use of facilities – that’s probably the most critical thing, getting better use out of the facilities but also giving the kids a better environment to play in.” – Mark Webber, Walkerville CC
“In the metropolitan areas of Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, there are councils that find themselves under severe pressure in terms of facility utilisation. Portable pitches would allow for these grounds to not only be well used, but they could potentially also allow for junior cricket to be prioritised and allow for them to play on better quality grounds.” – Scott Tutton, Cricket Victoria’s Club and Competitions Manager
